Hello Again
Terms
Last updated November 3, 2026
Hello Again is a marketplace for used band and artist merch, run by Hello Merch (HELLO, LLC). These terms cover buying and selling here. Checkout, payment and order emails are Hello Merch’s, so Hello Merch’s own terms of service apply to checkout too.
Who can use Hello Again
- You log in with a Hello Merch customer account.
- US only, for now: sellers ship from a US address, and used items ship to US addresses only.
- Cash payouts need a Stripe account, which requires you to be 18 or older.
What you can sell
- Official band and artist merch, from shows, tours, Hello Merch or other stores.
- No bootlegs, replicas, fan-made copies, or anything that isn’t band or artist merch.
- Use your own photos (3 to 8, including the tag), and describe the item honestly, including any flaws.
- Listed something you bought on Hello Merch? It’s marked “Bought on Hello Merch” with the original product, and each purchase can be listed only as many times as you bought it.
Listings and moderation
- Listing is free, and most listings go live right away.
- Some listings trip an automatic check (for example the word “bootleg”) and wait for a staff member to approve them.
- Anyone logged in can report a listing. Two reports hide it until staff look.
- Staff can take down any listing that breaks these terms, and can pause selling on accounts with repeated problems.
- New accounts can add up to 20 listings a day.
Fees
Listing is free. When an item sells, Hello Again takes a fee from the item price:
| Hello Fee | New or used store credit | Cash |
|---|---|---|
| Bought on Hello Merch | 5% | 10% |
| Any other band merch | 10% | 15% |
- The fee is at least $1.99 per item, never more than the item price, and includes card processing fees.
- There’s no fee on shipping.
- Cash payouts also have Stripe’s bank withdrawal fees, which come out of the payout. Store credit has none.
- Sales keep the fee that applied when they sold.
Shipping
- The buyer pays the real cost of shipping, worked out at checkout from your address to theirs. Items from the same seller in one order ship together. If a live rate isn’t available, a typical rate for the package is used.
- You can offer free shipping instead; then you pay for the label from your payout.
- Ship within 10 days of the sale, with tracking, to the address on the order. Buy a label on your Sales page (its cost comes out of your payout) or use your own and add the tracking number.
- Shipping late can drop your seller level.
- Your ship-from address is only used to work out shipping and make labels. Buyers don’t see it.
Getting paid
- You choose new or used store credit (added to your Hello Merch account, spendable on new or used items, can’t be cashed out) or cash (to your bank through Stripe).
- You’re paid after the item is delivered, depending on your seller level:
| Level | Who | Store credit | Cash |
|---|---|---|---|
| New | Fewer than 5 completed sales, or an account under 30 days old | On delivery | 3 days after delivery; up to $250 a week |
| Trusted | 5+ completed sales, 30+ days, no recent upheld problems | On delivery | On delivery |
| Verified | Trusted, plus approved by staff | At the carrier’s first scan | On delivery |
- An open buyer report holds that sale’s payout until staff decide.
- If a sale is refunded after you were paid (an upheld report, a chargeback that was your fault), the amount is taken from your next payouts. Owing money, an upheld report or a late shipment drops you back to New.
Cancelling a sale
- Before shipping, you can cancel a sale if the buyer asks or you can’t ship it. Hello Merch refunds the buyer for the item and its shipping, and you aren’t paid.
- Cancelling after the ship-by date counts as a late shipment.
- Once the refund goes through, you can relist an item that never shipped.
For buyers
- Used items are sold by other fans, not by Hello Merch, and are described by them.
- You’re covered for 30 days after delivery (or after the sale, if it never arrives): report a problem from your Orders page if the item didn’t arrive, arrived damaged, or isn’t as described. Staff decide, and if they uphold it, you’re refunded.
- Hello Merch discount codes apply to new items only. New or used store credit works on both.
- You can message a seller about a listing, or about something you bought. Keep payments in checkout.
High-volume sellers (INFORM Consumers Act)
US law requires marketplaces to verify sellers with 200 or more sales of new or unused items and $5,000 or more from them in a 12-month period. On Hello Again, “New with tags” listings count. If you reach that, we’ll ask you to verify your identity through Stripe and confirm your name and phone, once a year. If you don’t within 10 days, your listings go off sale until you do. Sellers with $20,000 or more a year are shown to buyers by name and state. See Confirm your seller details.
Taxes
You’re responsible for any taxes on your sales. Stripe issues tax forms (such as 1099-K) for cash payouts where the law requires.
Behaving well
- No fake listings, harassment, or trying to take payment outside checkout.
- We can pause or close accounts that break these terms, and keep payouts on hold while we look into a problem.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. If a change matters for sellers, we’ll tell you before it applies. Questions: contact us.
